Catsuits and Donuts

I was very exciting for this morning of our trip, I have been looking forward to this particular day since Dragon Con because this day is the day Shakeshift takes me to Dutch Monkey. Dutch Monkey is a gourmet donut shop with the best donuts in the world! The last time I bought Dutch Monkey donuts was when I went to Dragon Con.

When I got my donuts for Dragon Con I decided to not eat my donuts until I reached the hotel. HUGE MISTAKE! The hotel I stayed at wouldn’t let you carry anything but your purse to your room. This means I placed the safety of my precious, precious donuts into the hands of another. When the bell hops brought my bags to my room I opened the door. The man behind the door had a look of regret on his face as he held my box of donuts in his hands. He explained to me how the donuts fell over face down on the concrete. I almost had the thought “They can’t be that bad, maybe they’re still good.” Alas, they were ruined. The bellhop was kind enough to give us a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts, but that does fill the hole that not having a Dutch Monkey donut creates.

Once we arrived at Dutch Monkey Shakeshift and I jumped out of the car and into the store. I got an Aztech donut made of chili powder, chocolate, and bacon and I got the Dutch Monkey donut which is my favorite. It’s a banana filled donut topped with chocolate and bananas. Delicious! 

Shakeshift and I raced to Columbus Georgia to shoot with a newer producer J.R. On our drive over I started to have awful cramps. I kept contorting myself into crazy positions to try and cure my cramps. For 2 hours I sat in the car trying to get rid of the cramps until I gave into taking ibuprofen. When Shakeshift pulled into the gas station he came out with a black bag. I jokingly asked if he bought a dirty magazine since most adult items come in black-out bags. Instead he handed me a bag filled with chocolates and cookies. I looked at him and said “Wow, you’re smarter than most guys I know! Most men don’t know that chocolate cures a girl’s cramps.” Luckily J.R. arrived a bit late so I had time for the medicine and chocolate to kick in.

The Debut of Fatgirl

The morning of our third shoot we woke up at about 8 a.m. I got to sleep in Jessica Nova’s designated “nerd room”, a room full of collectables from Superman paraphernalia to Monster High dolls. I’m so envious of all the amazing collectables they have. That single room is how I wish to decorate my whole house. As I exited the room to take a shower their kitty cat Sebastian followed me out without my knowledge. Shakeshift, who was awake on the couch, watched as I accidentally slammed the bathroom door in the kitty’s face.

Once Jessica Nova, Bambi Buttons, Shakeshift, and I were ready Shakeshift took us models out to Chick-fil-A for a delicious breakfast of coffee and oatmeal. One our bellies were full we headed out to the Lady Julie’s home. We had plans to go to a club that had a human wheel so we could shoot a video where Batgirl gets caught by Venom Valentine and is tortured by being spun upside down on the Wheel of Misfortune. That would have been an amazing video, but I was very glad that I got to see Lady Julie, her husband, and her dozen kitties!

Once we arrived we immediately got to work. Our first shoot consisted of me as Batgirl, Lady Julie as Omega Woman, and Jessica Nova as Venom Valentine. This was the first time I got to witness the famous super-villain Shakeshift and the producers of L.A.W. have always discussed and admired. Venom’s character is a female Joker type who is nuts and wants to see the world burn for her amusement. Jessica Nova is such a great actress. She is so natural and witty with her characters, there has never been a character of hers I didn’t fall in love with.

During this shoot Venom successfully tricks Batgirl into throwing a tantrum by calling her Fatgirl. The scene was so hilarious we had to do six takes. Shakeshift found it so funny that for the rest of the trip he called me Fatgirl; this lead to confusion, concern, and a little bit of anger from other models toward Shakeshift when he jokingly called me Fatgirl in front of the models and producers.
