The Debut of Fatgirl

The morning of our third shoot we woke up at about 8 a.m. I got to sleep in Jessica Nova’s designated “nerd room”, a room full of collectables from Superman paraphernalia to Monster High dolls. I’m so envious of all the amazing collectables they have. That single room is how I wish to decorate my whole house. As I exited the room to take a shower their kitty cat Sebastian followed me out without my knowledge. Shakeshift, who was awake on the couch, watched as I accidentally slammed the bathroom door in the kitty’s face.

Once Jessica Nova, Bambi Buttons, Shakeshift, and I were ready Shakeshift took us models out to Chick-fil-A for a delicious breakfast of coffee and oatmeal. One our bellies were full we headed out to the Lady Julie’s home. We had plans to go to a club that had a human wheel so we could shoot a video where Batgirl gets caught by Venom Valentine and is tortured by being spun upside down on the Wheel of Misfortune. That would have been an amazing video, but I was very glad that I got to see Lady Julie, her husband, and her dozen kitties!

Once we arrived we immediately got to work. Our first shoot consisted of me as Batgirl, Lady Julie as Omega Woman, and Jessica Nova as Venom Valentine. This was the first time I got to witness the famous super-villain Shakeshift and the producers of L.A.W. have always discussed and admired. Venom’s character is a female Joker type who is nuts and wants to see the world burn for her amusement. Jessica Nova is such a great actress. She is so natural and witty with her characters, there has never been a character of hers I didn’t fall in love with.

During this shoot Venom successfully tricks Batgirl into throwing a tantrum by calling her Fatgirl. The scene was so hilarious we had to do six takes. Shakeshift found it so funny that for the rest of the trip he called me Fatgirl; this lead to confusion, concern, and a little bit of anger from other models toward Shakeshift when he jokingly called me Fatgirl in front of the models and producers.

Feeling the Love

I have such an admiration for Jessica Nova and her man. They're the couple that I look up to and hope to be like in my relationship. When you look at them you can feel the love in the room swell, they are both such good, honest people. If I didn't know better I would honestly think they are both actual super heroes. After only seeing each other a handful of times I find it funny how our strong friendship begs no question. I have known people for years and do not share the same level of friendship or closeness as I do with Jessica Nova and her man.

When I walked through the Nova’s door I received the biggest hugs from Jessica and her man. At the Nova’s home I also met the pink haired Bambi Buttons, a newer fetish model in the industry. After our unpacking the car we all headed out to Iron Age, a Korean BBQ restaurant where you cook your own meat. On our ride over to Iron Age I found one of the most epic sights to see, a combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. I’ve seen combination KFC and Taco Bell, even combination Pizza Hut and Long John Silver’s, I’ve heard the song, but have never seen a real combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. I laughed so hard when I saw it I’m sure everyone thought I was crazy.

It was such a neat experience to cook your own meat at a restaurant, which seems silly because most of us have to do the exact same thing at home and don’t find it anywhere near as enjoyable. We ate three or four different kinds of meat, all of which were delicious. I get really paranoid about my meat being under cooked so I would spend what feels like forever to ensure my meat was completely cooked through. I ended up spending so much time focusing on the meat being cooked through that Mr. Nova and Bambi kept accidentally stealing my meat. So sad! But we all had a lovely time and were ready to start shooting the next day.

Just before bed Shakeshift and I stayed up, as we usually do, when we received a last minute request from a fan who loved our work last time we traveled down to Atlanta. He requested a video of me running in very specific and expensive shoes. Of course I didn't own the specific shoes, but he offered to purchase them for me so next time Shakeshift and I met up to shoot again we could make his dream video. I appreciate it immensely when a fan purchases a gift for me, it allows me to connect with my fans more and it helps build up the necessary equipment I need to start my own store. The fan also receives a fancy little photo set of me with the gift. So everyone wins! And who knows, maybe the more gifts I receive, the faster I can open up my own store.
