Atlanta Bound

The next day of our trip was a driving day to Atlanta. After a delicious homemade breakfast of eggs and bacon from Vivian Irene Pierce it was time to hit the road. Our drive took over eight hours, but it never feels that long when Shakeshift and I drive together. On our way out of North Carolina we had the pleasure to witness one of nature’s most mind-boggling acts, road rage.

There it was right in front of us, two cars who looked like they were following each other. Only when we got stuck at a red light the car in front wasted no time to jump out of his car, in heavy traffic, and stomp over to the car behind them. Once the angry looking man got to the car he bent over to yell at the young girl through her window and wag his finger at her. After a minute of yelling the man stomped back to his car and drove off after holding up the line of cars. As we pass the girl in her car I turn and see her crying.

It seems so ridiculous to me how upset people can get at another person over driving. Sure we all experience road rage, I am no exception, but I would never get mad enough to get out of my car just to give someone a piece of my mind.

As we started to enter Atlanta I got more and more excited to see Jessica Nova and the Lady Julie. When I worked with them last year I had such a lovely time. Lady Julie was so hospitable to allow us to shoot in her home. Her husband and her are such truly kind people. They always want to make sure all your needs are met. They even provided Shakeshift and I with our favorite Tab soda and a plethora of food. And their cats are the best! I would go over to their home just to roll around with her dozen kitties.

I remember last year when we shot a Bionic video of me running alongside the car I fell and hurt my leg badly. Jessica Nova ran over to me and picked me up fireman style, like the white knight she is, and carried me back to the car. Once we arrived at Lady Julie’s house Julie took care of my wound and nursed me back to health; but not before Shakeshift could use my bloody leg in a medical shot for the Bionic video.

Bubble Bursting with Butts

On the evening of the first day of my tour Shakeshift and I rolled into North Carolina around 8 p.m. before we stopped at Vivian Ireene Pierce’s home Shakeshft and I stopped at a cute little fast food joint called Wiener Works. I was so excited when I saw the menu had corn dogs, my favorite food! If it were approved by doctors I would be perfectly happy surviving off of only corn dogs. They had the best corn dogs I had ever eaten!

Once we arrived at VIP’s we walked into a cave of balloons. Apparently VIP and Violet Arcane had been blowing up balloons for hours! 300 balloons filled the shooting area. I was quite excited and a bit worried about this shoot since it was my first balloon popping video. The first shoot was a contest to see which model could pop the most balloons with their butt. The second video we filmed that evening was a slumber party styled balloon blow up video and bubble gum popping video. VIP who is super good at blowing big bubbles made Violet and I look like bubble blowing amateurs.

I always find it awkward when I wake up before everyone else. Maybe I'm just an awkward person? I'll admit it, we all have our moments. Either we don’t have a designated start time on the day or I just wake up before everyone else. I mostly feel awkward because it’s not my house, if it was my house I would wake everyone up before everyone with comfort and awaken them with pancakes and bacon, but since it’s not I feel weird just sitting there alone. So I wake up sneak around to see if anyone else is awake. If they are I hang out with them, if they are not then I sneak back to where I am sleeping and wait for someone to come wake me up.

The next day VIP, Shakeshift, and I did a shoot for a sequel video for very special fan. After getting our morning coffee at Jammin’ Java we got ready for the shoot. For this particular shoot I played Wonder Girl and VIP as Wonder Vivian. Last November we did the first film of this series with Jessica Nova. In the video Wonder Woman gets attacked by a ghost called Revenant that ended in Wonder Woman being drowned in a tub of water. In the sequel VIP is the drowned victim of our ghostly villain.

VIP and I had such a blast filming this video! We always have such a good time when we shoot together. There was one point in the video where I as Wonder Girl am possessed by our ghostly villain. My stage directions were "Seem like you're a zombie, you can grown but don't make a lot of noise and seem as CREEPY as possible!" Through out the next half hour while shooting I tried so hard not to crack a smile. I know I did so many times! I just kept thinking "Don't move your face, just make it creepy and don't move it!"

Later that evening as everyone heads to bed Shakeshift and I stayed up watching Batman Beyond and talked about modeling stuff until 4 a.m.; which was not the best idea we've had since the next day was an eight hour driving day. I had such a nice time shooting with VIP and Violet that I was sad to go, but excited to go on to my new adventure in Atlanta with Jessica Nova, The Lady Julie, and Bambi Buttons.

Bubble Tea & Beer: The Most Delicious of Beverages!

On our first day of the tour Shakeshift and I met up at a rinky-dinky 7-11. I remember the place looked so shady that as I sat in my car waiting for him to arrive I was 90% sure I would get mugged at gunpoint.

Once we finally reached Virginia I remember it being so cold outside that my toes, which were cozily cradled in fuzzy socks and a nice pair of leather boots, were numb from the freezing cold weather. Shakeshift said he couldn’t believe how someone who seemed over dressed for the level of cold outside couldn’t retain their body heat.

This lead us to reminisce about our adventures last summer at Fetishcon.  On the night before a big shoot with Star and Ariel Anderson at Fetishcon I was sound asleep under a mountain of blankets. Shakeshift prefers the cold, where as I prefer heat, so once he thought I was sound asleep Shakeshift got out of bed to change the thermostat to 60 degrees. Way too cold for Miss. Claire V! Later that morning I awoke from the cold air piercing through my protective fleece barrier. Shakeshift, who was already awake laying in bed and probably checking emails on his phone, looked over and smiled at me. “Good Morning!” he exclaimed. He then realized the look on my face was a mix of pure exhaustion and haterage.

He asked “What’s wrong, didn’t you get enough sleep?”. I explained that although I my eyes were closed I was not actually resting. The cold had kept me up so I had only gotten an hour of sleep. He apologized so much that he let me skip our morning meeting with the Fetishcon staff to sleep in, and he was sure to turn the heat up as high as it will allow in Tampa. After about 30 minutes of rest in the heat I was awake and chipper like any other morning, ready to start the day!

After stopping at the much needed liquor store and the bank we finally made it into the city where the real challenge began that would affect the whole outcome of the trip: packing the car. My four bags of various costumes and boots were not a problem for the S.U.V. but once we added Shakeshift’s eight bags it was nearly impossible to close the doors of the car. I remember after I finally tetrised the car and got all the doors closed by throwing all my weight at them Shakeshift came out of his house with a crate full of chains. He looked so sad when he asked “Will the chains not fit?” Unfortunately between the cattle prod, bag of boots that weight more than me, and Hawkgirl wings there was not room for the chains.

To thank me for my mad tetrising skills Shakeshift took me to an amazing little café that sold 72 types of bubble tea. I love bubble tea, ever since I found it in a remote little family owned Asian restaurant I have to get bubble tea once a month. While we were at the café I sampled Taro, Royal Milk, and inquired about the Red Bean flavored tea. I had never had red bean before and was eager to try something new, but unfortunately they were out. So I asked the man behind the counter to describe it too me.

The look on his face was priceless. There was literally no way for him to describe what Red Bean tastes like. I too have run in to this predicament before when a friend of mine told me to describe what sauerkraut tastes like. It’s very difficult to describe the nature of something that is unique and unlike anything you can relate it too. Shakeshift saw how excited I was about drinking bubble milk tea that he bought me TWO teas. I decided to settle on Royal Milk tea and Strawberry, my two new favorites.

Another Journey Begins...

I must say going on a modeling tour is definitely one of the best perks of being a model. All the dieting, exercising, and character research is made all worth the time spent when you know you're going on a trip to make money and spend time with amazing people. On this particular trip Shakeshift and I were headed to North Carolina, Georgia, and sunny Florida. Finally time to get out of a state full of snow!

Prior to this trip Shakeshift scored an awesome deal on a Nightwing costume. A model was selling her old costume and Shakeshift happen to snatch it up before it was too late. I believe the costume will be a great addition to our content.

One issue we faced when working on the character is what do we change to convey the character as a girl. The hair was biggest issue we faced. Most girls just use their own hair, but because I always use wigs we had a limited choice in styles.

Normally Nightwing has dark black hair; if we decided to go with a dark wig that would mean I would use my Wonder Woman wig. We felt that style would not best suit the character. We could have gone blonde, but I felt the character should be a bit more out of the box and not predictable. That’s when Jessica Nova suggested we make our Nightwing a red head. Red headed super heroes are not as common as super heroes with blonde or dark hair; so I felt this would be a nice change of pace. That is when we set on our Nightwing to be a red-head with a ponytail.

What makes me most excited about this trip is the new Nightwing character that I will be debuting for the League of Amazing Women and Dawnstar Productions. I've always been a huge Batman and Robin fan; in fact Dick Grayson is my favorite Robin. But I had only ever seen Nightwing a handful of times, so I did not know an extensive amount about the character. Luckily I really enjoy the research part of modeling; it means I get to watch hours of super hero shows, which brings me right back to my childhood watching the Super Friends.
